Samhwa Hanyang Foods inception began back in 1983 as Hanyang Food Processing. It was the first company to develop and manufacture Korean teas such as Job's Tears, made from indigenous agricultural products.

Samhwa Hanyang Foods now produces more than forty kinds of traditional teas for vending machines and more than a hundred regular traditional teas, such as Royal Han.

Production processes utilize up-to-date facilities and advanced technologies such as the Anhydro (Denmark) three-step spray-drier the Calumic (Netherlands) flowing granule machine, and the IMA (Germany) tea bag packer.

Samhwa Hanyang Foods was an official supplier to the 1986 Asian Games, the 1988 Olympic Games, the Daejeon Expo and other international events. The reputation attained from its products was a result of a leading production line in terms of both quality and scale among other Korean tea makers.

Samhwa Hanyang Foods is also working diligently on the development of new products such as functional teas that can help dieting, insomnia, and constipation. One result of this endeavor is Jamisol Tea, now on the market, which can facilitate sleep.

We are also working to establish a research center at our main offices in Seoul, as well as to carry out innovation in all areas such as production and sales.
