Company Introduction
Founded in 1969 as a deep-sea fisheries company, Oyang has its fishing capacity increased over the years to 21 vessel fleet whose type of fishing activities ranges from surimi processing factory trawler to stern-trawlers for bottom fishes, sashimi tuna boats, tuna purse seiners, squid jigging boats and reefer carrier currently operating all over major world fishing grounds including Russian EEZ in Okhotsk Sea and Bering Sea, New Zealand EEZ, EEZ of Mid-Pacific countries as well as major international waters.
Since the 1980s, the company has its business expanded to food processing area introducing for the first time in Korea those new surimi analogue products like imitation crab meat, lobster, scallop, salami and tuna-ham. Under stringent hygiene standard, these products have been manufactured by 5 mammoth modern factories located across the country. Oyang's position in this area has been strongly supported by the surimi products manufactured on board Oyangho, the factory trawler of its own as well as the world's top quality surimi provided by Arctic Storm, the affiliate company in Seattle, USA.
In 1995, the company further expanded its business capacity to open up seafood specialties restaurant chain to cater the at-sea freshness of the seafood to the customers, which has been made possible by the abundant fresh fish products from its own fishing fleet as well as the advanced know-how and experience in food processing accumulated over the years. This unique restaurant chain enjoys good reputation for the quality gourmet and service satisfaction.
