In 1985, Dr Jurgen Klein and Ulrike Klein invested in land and laboratories in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia, having immigrated from Germany with their young family in 1983.  Jurlique`s Herb Farms in South Australia now produce 95% of the herbs and plants necessary for inclusion in Jurlique`s extensive skincare range.

Initially Jurlique was sold through health food stores and was relatively unknown in mainstream cosmetic industry in Australia.  Jurlique now supplies retail outlets worldwide with more than 20 Concept Stores Australia-wide, another 20 overseas and extensive distribution within the international Beauty Therapy, Department Store, Pharmacy and Health Food industries.
