Distinction from other hair loss products
Many hair products claim to contain herbs or oriental medicine. However, the main ingredients listed on such products are just included to become a part of the marketing strategy for product promotion. In reality, most products contain large amounts of salicylic acid (antiseptic used in band-aids or disposable gauzes) that targets demodex germs or infections. Simply put, these products are developed to address the symptoms of hair loss, and not reslve the actual root of the problem.

Higher level products contain minoxidil, the first ingredient approved by the FDA as a remedy for hair loss. Though originally used as a vasodilator for high blood pressure and prostrate glands, this ingredient is now commonly used for improving hair loss condition. While these products expand the vessels to expedite and increase the flow of nutrients, they neglect the causes that prvent the effective flow within the hair follicles. Hence, the results of such hair loss products are still limited.
