Concept developed Hydraulic expanding mandrels / arbors and chucks based on hydrostatic transmission of pressure applied on a thin walled steel tube to expand / contract radially and locate and clamp the part to perform precision machining operations. CONCEPT work holding devices have been widely accepted in Indian market as well as International. Concept mandrels / arbors can be adapted for all kinds of operation like Finish turning and milling, Cylindrical grinding, Surface grinding, Gear cutting, Gear grinding, Gear shaving, Gear honing, Tools grinding, Dynamic balancing, Fixture location and inspection. The clamping can be effected by manually tightening a screw or using the machine draw bar. Concept mandrels / arbors and chucks can be easily adapted on any machine spindle or by other means. Being a custom designed item it can be adapted to all forms of the locating profile.
