Carrier Ltd. Korea (CLK) was established on December 23, 1985 as a joint venture company between Carrier Corporation, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation (UTC), of the United States and Daewoo Corporation of Korea. Since 1991, United Technologies Corporation has held majority ownership of the joint venture. In May 2000, Carrier purchased the remaining minority shares from Daewoo Corporation to take 100% ownership of the company.

Carrier Ltd. Korea designs, manufactures, markets and services a wide range of products to meet the heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) needs of the Korean and global markets. CLK's annual sales in 2000 were KRW3,242 billion, of which 4% consisted of global exports. CLK employs 1,269 dedicated technical, administrative, manufacturing and service employees throughout Korea who continually strive to provide the very best air conditioner products in the world.

CLK's wide range of air conditioners, from window type room air conditioners, hi-wall split room air conditioners and multi hi-wall split room air conditioners, guarantee that we can meet any cooling and heating needs of individual customers. To meet larger capacity needs, we also offer packaged type air conditioners that provide efficient and effective cooling, heating and air cleaning capability.

Additionally, CLK's legendary Rotary compressors, known for efficiency and reliability, are manufactured in Kwangju for use in domestically marketed air conditioners as well as an integral component of the air conditioners manufactured by our other global Carrier counterparts.
